Regarding the classes itself - I did the PACES Extended - I think it was very well structured. The demonstration of the technique of examination by Dr. Mahender sir and Dr. Praveen sir were very practical and useful. How the cases were demonstrated was also very systematic and allowed for interaction with the staff. We spent a lot of time with Mahender sir and Praveen sir and were only the better for it. Both their approach to demonstrating cases were good although different.I'am sorry that I'am not able to point out areas for you guys to improve because I really appreciate the course in its current format. I feel I benefitted from it both in my exams and in day to day practice as well. And the fact that I cleared the exam is testimony to the fact that the course was useful! And am equally glad to declare that all the teaching and no teaching staff at OSLERS Academy played a huge role in making that possible. I have previously cleared both the part 1 and part 2 of MRCP in first attempts and have got the slot for PACES this November . To be honest , I was totally confused as to how to prepare for PACES and my Extended preparatory course( sep) has changed my whole preparation towards exam.The structured approach of the course , the volume of patients , commitment and passion of the teachers :- Every aspect is simply exemplary. One would be examining and presenting almost 70 patients covering all the clinical skills to very experienced teachers and this experience is invaluable in exam preparation. I would recommend HCS5 course too which covers most important marks scoring stations of 2, 4 and 5. My special thanks to Dr Mahender, Dr Praveen sangu and all the teachers who taught me. Cleared PACES 2018. I have attended 3 courses for PACES including one at Oslers, the others being in London. I would say Oslers was far, far better than any of the other courses I attended as it is what helped me pass my exam. Dr Vyasabattu is extremely helpful and knowledgeable and the cases seen were very well selected and appropriate for the exam. Cases seen are explained in good detail and discussions are based on DDs which is most useful for the exam. There is a mock exam at the end of the course which helped. I thank Oslers for my success at the exam.
